How the sharing started
One jeep, a few strangers, a fairer way north
North Sikkim is breathtaking — and remote, permitted and expensive to reach. Years ago we kept meeting solo travellers and couples who'd given up on Gurudongmar simply because a private vehicle cost too much. So we started pooling them into shared SUVs. Costs dropped, strangers became friends, and a small idea became how we travel.
